Welcome to the realist #Indie-Hotspot of 2015. Lets start by telling everybody where you from?

Notacomedian:

Very happy to be apart of this, this is my first Interview so I’m a little nervous, but the fans call me Notacomedian, I was born in St. Petersburg Florida and moved to Chicago when I was young.

H|E:

We glad to have you brother. Chicago is always welcome at #HipHopEverything. I hear it was Childish Gambino who inspired you to Rap. Tell me more about that. Was this the beginning of Not-a-Comedian?

Notacomedian:

Childish Gambino is probably my greatest inspiration when it comes to rapping. Like, I remember years ago in high school my friend Antoine had shown me the freaks and Geeks music video, and I remember being blown away. His music connected with me instantly especially at the beginning of high school because I would get bullied and made fun of for how I dressed and watched Anime.

H|E:

What recent accomplishments you’re proud of, why? And what is the ultimate goal of Notacomedian?

Notacomedian:

My accomplishments from the beginning has always been to inspire, and tell stories, I have my childhood to thank for that. The goal of Notacomedian is to make people listen to my music and have a great fucking time. Sometimes ill bitch about my and how hard it is being a Black guy in modern day America, other times I’m just doing me.

H|E:

There’s a lot happening in Chi-Town right. Mad rappers everywhere. What are you doing to separate yourself from the competition?

Notacomedian:

A lot is definitely happening in Chicago, and I’m trying to catch up lol. I find myself already being separated from the competition, more people in California have heard of me than Chicago, its sad that I barely get love over here because I don't make "chief keef music for dread heads and drunk white girls to turn up to".

H|E:
